Thriller is the sixth solo album by Michael Jackson. It was published on 30 November 1982 on Epic Records. As with his previous album Off the Wall Quincy Jones is co-producer. Thriller is the world's best-selling album to date.
thriller is considered Jackson's best album (in front of his predecessors Off the Wall in 1979). While Off the Wall is a black soul and rhythm and blues album, heard Thriller - typical of the decade - to electro. For this reason, however, many prefer particularly African-American followers Jackson's album Headed. Jackson practiced in this second collaboration with producer Quincy Jones has a more pronounced influence on the album than it was the first time the album was recorded in 2008 in the National Recording Registry, which contains the U.S. culturally, historically or aesthetically important works.
The album was supposed Starlight and today's title track Give Me Starlight hot.
Billie Jean Not My Lover should be called only as producer Quincy Jones wanted to avoid confusion with the American tennis player Billie Jean King.
Want to Be Startin 'Somethin' was written for Off the Wall, at that time but not produced.
The Girl is Mine was released as the first song to place by this duet with the well-known in Europe Paul McCartney on the album better.
