Michael Pierre "Peter" Schilling (born 28 January 1956 in Stuttgart) is a German singer and synth-pop musician who was primarily in the 1980 success. His Songs are very often of science fiction topics as the future of planet earth or space.
Schilling, who is a qualified travel agent, is one of the most commercially successful artists of the Neue Deutsche Welle. With its title Major Tom

introduced in Germany the title of the charts for eight weeks in 1983 and was the top selling single of the year. Subsequent tracks with a similar knitting patterns (The Living Desert, Terra Titanic, Heat of the Night ranged) to this success is no longer approaching. In 1996 he started a side project "Space Pilots" (with a hit, Trip to Orion, which is based on the content of the first German science-fiction television series Space Patrol and to the great success in Japan).
2000, the separation was done by his wife Catyana, 2003 divorced both. Peter Schilling lives in Munich and continued to work as musicians, but also as an author.
